EUEL PIERCE:

Euel Pierce passed away in June 2011.

He served on the Katy ISD School Board in the 1970's and 1980's.

He was the Vice-President of the Board in 1981-1982, and was the President of the Board in 1982-1983.

Mr. Pierce served in the age when those on the school board were upstanding citizens who were elected because of the high regard others had for them.  Usually they were successful businessmen/women.

What a shame it is that our school district and our local papers do not find the time to honor someone such as Mr. Pierce for his service to our community.
