MEMBERS OF THE 2014 BOND COMMITTEE ALTERNATES:

I'm guessing that the people named as "alternates" are somewhat miffed at being named to this list and being relegated to the audience with no say in the process! For having paid $750,000 for a "communications" consultant, the District doesn't seem to understand good manners just yet. Think these nice people are coming to all the bond committee meetings?

If they had to have an "alternate" list, (and why would they when they have 128 people on the "real" committee), it should have been kept private. This list is kind of a slap in the face to the nice people who unwittingly thought they were simply agreeing to be of help in the selection of bond items. Perhaps they have created a list of 119 negative voters (times two) with regard to the bond issue!

Of the 119 alternates, 53 are women, 66 are men. As noted on the other list, the composition of this list should reflect the ethnic makeup of the students in our District. As a "minority district" Katy ISD has 40.6% whites and 59.4% minorities.
