EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND FOR COURTNEY DOYLE:

"Courtney Doyle graduated from Lamar University with a degree in Radiology" as quoted from the Katy Rancher when Mrs. Doyle was running for office.  On her KISD web site resume' no mention of a "degree" is made. Candidates fill out a form for the media when they are running.  These media outlets depend on the information given to them by the candidates.

Actually Mrs. Doyle attended Lamar Technology Institute* and received an applied sciences "degree" in radiology which is a two-year associate degree.

She received this "degree" in May 1998.

Not quite as advertised!

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't think someone who doesn't even have a college degree should be on a Texas school board.  I'm not so keen on non-academic degrees either.  The school board is in the business of "educating" children.  They need to be academically educated themselves in order to know what they should be doing.

*Lamar Institute of Technology is a public technical school in Beaumont, Texas. It was formerly a part of Lamar University, but became a separate institution when the university joined the Texas State University System in 1995.
