GEORGE H. SCOTT:

George Scott, in the spring of 2016,  convinced all his acquaintances that he was ready to be on the Katy ISD school board and was going to be effective even if he only had one vote.

He was successful in unseating KISD Board member, Joe Adams, who had been in office way too long.

The vote was 1,479 to 1,473.  Unarguably, many of Mr. Scott's Election Day votes were from voters who had tired of Mr. Adams.

In a low turnout election, Mr. Scott, after the votes were recounted at Mr. Adams' request, became the victor.

After a year of posturing, it's hard to tell what accomplishments have been made by Mr. Scott since he got elected.  Mostly he manages to alienate more of his supporters with every utterance.

“Though you may vote alone, always vote for principle, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” - John Quincy Adams

The following articles over the last several years are examples of Mr. Scott's opinion on matters.  They serve to explain his position on various issues. Since he was hard nosed about these issues BEFORE he was elected, we had hoped that he would remain so when the opportunity arose for a school board vote on the matters.

These articles contain some of the issues that caused citizens to vote for Mr. Scott in 2016.
