In 2008, Mr. Duhon sent the following email to all his "friends" in an apparent attempt to help fellow board member, Judy Snyder, get elected. Mr. Duhon failed to blind copy his list of 428 email contacts. I have not included these email addresses out of courtesy to the recipients. Any ire regarding my having this email list should be directed at Mr. Duhon as he sent the email to one of my fellow Katy Citizen Watchdogs.

(If anyone does not understand why it is so hard for incumbents to be beaten in the school board election, just realize that perhaps every other board member, the superintendent and other administrators have a similar list of their own  contacts. Add a spouse, a child, a trusting neighbor or two, and it's easy to see how Mr. Duhon's 428 email contacts can add up to that bunch of voters that no one realizes are part of the mix--people who appear, in my opinion, to be not voting because they know a candidate or agree with his/her positions, but simply because someone like Mr. Duhon told them to do so. One has to also wonder if there were any of them, like the Katy Citizen Watchdog on the list, who really didn't appreciate having their email addresses spread all over the place or being identified as one of Mr. Duhon's cohorts. 

Two things are for certain: in order to beat an incumbent, in my opinion, one has to get about 3,500 other people interested in what these incumbents are doing to the academic education of children and out to vote, and it would seem that term limits for school board members are way overdue!)
