Congressman Tom DeLay

203 Cannon House Office Building

Washington, D.C.  20515

Dear Representative DeLay:

Thank you for your remarks this past weekend on national television.  I appreciate your standing up to President Clinton and for the Republican cause.

As a school board member I have seen first hand the effects of Bill and Hillary Clinton's education initiatives.  They have compiled everything that is wrong with education, wrapped it in gold paper, and tried to make it look shiny and new.  Their reworked progressivism makes me physically ill when I see how detrimental it is to children.

Please stand firm on eliminating the Department of Education, the Department of Labor (when it dabbles in education matters, and the Goals 2000 laws.

Thank you for your efforts.

Sincerely,

Mary McGarr
