Marsha Myers:

Marsha Myers was elected first on May 6, 1998 in a board election that drew 4,000 voters.  Myers is a microbiologist and Pin Oak Village resident.  She first came to public attention because of her vocal opposition to the Katy Mills Mall.

She garnered 1,731 votes to win a four-way race.  Her opponents were James W. Connolly with 956 votes, John Beaird got 669 votes and Kenny Klein received 373 votes.

Her support came from the boxes at Katy High, Wolfe, West Memorial and Winborn.

We had high hopes for Ms. Myers as she had an academic college degree and perhaps should have voted for things academic over the social, but over time, Ms. Myers just voted for everything put in front of her like all the rest.

Myers was re-elected in 2001 defeating Rob McMullin 499 to 198.

She served two terms.
