NCCIA NEWSLETTER FRONT PAGE POST ON SEPTEMBER 2004 ISSUE:

When I first read this post in the Krenek Newsletter, I had to smile.  It was obvious that Rose Mary Smith had started treating the other Board members as she had treated me.  They got tired of it and started limiting her access. That would be the same thing I had tried to do two years earlier, and for which I had been excoriated by the whole neighborhood!

The nice thing about being right about something that is disputed, is that one only has to wait just a little while for the truth to emerge--and here it is!

The other nice thing is that sometimes when people see that they were wrong about something, as Rose Mary Smith obviously did, she sent all their emails to me that proved what they had done to me and why two years ago.  I do appreciate that Rose Mary appeared to have seen the truth.

After I sent those emails to 200 people in Nottingham Country--all my friends and all the neighbors of the Board members who had lied about me, there were more Board positions open than just five!  I think Board member Len Mesina was the only one left and that was because he was the only one who hadn't been a part of the scam.

SCS has proved to have been an acceptable management company.  I'm still of the opinion that an HOA does not need a management company if people are willing to do a small amount of volunteering.

News Flash About Deed Restrictions:

Dear Homeowners,

I have elected to vacate the chairmanship of the Deed Restriction Committee for the Nottingham Country Community Improvement Association.  This is due mostly to the action of other Board Directors by voting in a new contract with SCS Management Services which calls for the Deed Restriction Chair to only be allowed to accompany the SCS Deed Restriction Inspector once a year, beginning as of July 1, 2004.  Previously I could accompany the SCS Inspector on any monthly deed restriction drive-by.  I feel that I no longer can do my job adequately with a "once a year" restriction placed on me by the NCCIA contract with SCS.

If you have any problems with deed restriction violations, please call SCS directly at 281-463-1777, extension 226 Cathy or extension 283 Josh, or email to Cathy McConnaughey at cathymc@scmgmt.com and/or to the Board of Directors at www.NottinghamCountry.org;  you may also write to SCS at 7170 Cherry Park Dr., Houston, TX  77095

There will be five (5) openings on the eight member Board of Directors for the fall election in November.  If you are interested in becoming a Board Director, please contact me as soon as possible at the NCCIA web address NottinghamCountry.org and go to "Contacts" to email me; also please fill out the Board Membership Form that is on our web site.  Hopefully, if new Directors are elected in November the Board will be more effective in working together for the common good of Nottingham Country.
